Welcome to Chroma Johns Creek.

Deka Janifer brings more than 17 years of experience in early childhood education, including 8 years in childcare leadership and management. She studied Business Administration and Management at Strayer University and later attended Full Sail University to pursue her passion for Music Business, blending her interests in education, creativity, and youth development throughout her career.

Prior to relocating to Georgia in August 2022, Deka owned and operated The Jukebox Creative and Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia, where she successfully combined performing arts, education, and community engagement to support children and families. Her diverse professional background reflects a deep commitment to nurturing young learners while building strong, supportive educational environments.

Originally from Philadelphia, Deka is happily married and a proud mother of two children—her daughter, who attends Norfolk State University in Virginia, and her 9-year-old son. Outside of work, she enjoys teaching voice lessons, cooking, and hosting gatherings with family and friends.

As a Director, Deka is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children feel supported, inspired, and excited to grow. She values open communication, collaboration, and strong partnerships with families, staff, and the community, and she looks forward to working together to provide an exceptional experience for every child at Chroma.
