Sonia Atkins
Director
My name is Sonia Atkins, and I’m honored to be part of the Chroma Family. Joining Chroma of West Cobb has been an exciting journey filled with connection, growth, and purpose. I’m passionate about creating a nurturing, joyful, and enriching environment for our families and children each day.
Originally from Walterboro, South Carolina, I relocated to Georgia as a young girl. I’m the proud wife of my high school sweetheart—married for 36 years—mother to four amazing sons, and grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren. Family is my foundation, and I love spending time with them, dancing, singing, and enjoying life’s simple joys.
I began my career in childcare at age 16 and never left the field. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Science in Management, and as of April 2025, I’ll proudly hold a Master’s of Science in Psychology. I’m certified in First Aid, CPR, and Director Training, and hold licensure in multiple areas that support effective, joyful classrooms.
Teaching has always been my passion. As an educator and leader, I strive to inspire children to dream big and shine bright—because, in my eyes, the stars are just the beginning.
Kailah Sneed Johnson

My name is Kailah Sneed-Johnson, and I am a passionate early childhood education professional with over 13 years of experience in childcare. What began as a high school interest has grown into a fulfilling career—progressing from assistant teacher to assistant director. I’ve worked hands-on with every age group and continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education and specialized training.
As a wife and mother of three daughters, I’m deeply committed to creating warm, engaging, and developmentally rich environments where young children can thrive.
